Come Experience the Wild Side of Seven Ponds!

Pee Wees and Parents (age 2-4 in company of an adult)
Pee Wees enjoy a gentle introduction to nature with activities and short walks. Suggestions for adults to use with children are also included. Fee for adult and child: $28.00 (members $24.00)

Wee Walkers (preschoolers at least 4 years old) Wee Walkers take leisurely walks and discover nature in the company of a naturalist.
Fee: $28.00 (members $24.00)
Session I: June 21-24, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Session II: June 28-July 1, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Session III: July 12-15, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Young Explorers (for children who have completed kindergarten)
This field school focuses on using the senses to explore nature. Lots of walks, activities, and crafts included.
Fee: $32.00 (members $28.00)
June 21-24, 10:00 - 12:00 p.m.

Field School 1 & 2 (for children completing grades 1 or 2) We will learn about living and non-living things using hands-on activities, games, crafts and walks. We will also focus on the life cycles of the animals living around Seven Ponds. Fee: $36.00 (members $32.00)
Session I: June 28- July 1, 9:30 - 12:00 p.m. 9:30 – 12:00 p.m.
Session II: July 12-15, 9:30 - 12:00 p.m. 9:30 – 12:00 p.m.

Field School 3 & 4 (for children completing grades 3 or 4) We will explore plant and animal habitats and some of the special features that plants and animals use to survive.
Fee: $42.00 (members $38.00)
Session I: July 19-22, 9:30-2:00 p.m.
Session II: July 26-29, 9:30-2:00 p.m.

Field School 5 & 6 (For children completing grades 5 and 6) We will explore many different ecosystems and discover the plants, animals, rocks, and water found in each one.
Fee: $46.00 (members $42.00)
July 19-22, 9:30-3:00 p.m.

Junior Naturalists (For children in grades 7, 8 and 9) This week will be all things NATURE! There will be lots of activities, exploration, art, canoeing, and much more.
Fee: $46.00 (members $42.00)
July 26- 29 9:30-3:00 p.m.

Beginning Birdwatching (For children grades 4 – 7) Children will explore the center’s habitats in search of birds, learning about binoculars, field guides, checklists, life lists, and bird identification by sight, sound, and behavior. Bring binoculars or they will be provided. Limit 6 students.
Fee: $24.00 (members $22.00)
Thursday and Friday, June 30 & July 1, 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Recycled Fairy Houses (For children grades 1 - 4) This will be a fun afternoon of designing and constructing houses from found materials for our nature fairy friends.
Fee: $10.00 (members $8.00)
Thursday, June 30, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Nature’s Puzzles (For children grades 4-7) This will be a fun morning learning how to use compasses and reading maps while solving mysteries and puzzles and doing scavenger hunts along the trails.
Fee:$6.00 (members $5.00)
Friday, July 8, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Adopt a Turtle (For children grades 3 and up) Come out and help take care of our turtle friends and learn how they are cared for. You will feed, clean them and their homes, and get lots of holding time. Limit 10 students.
Fee: $6.00 (members $5.00)
Friday, July 15, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. or Friday, July 22, 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Rockin’ Rocks (For children grades K - 2) Come learn all about the ground under your feet, different land forms, and how the mitten became a mitten.
Fee: $6.00 (members $5.00)
Tuesday, July 19, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Nocturnal Adventure (For children ages 10 and up) Come spend an evening in the woods. Children will learn all about the nocturnal creatures that make Seven Ponds their home through a hike and activities.
Fee: $6.00 ($5.00 members)
Friday, July 29, 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Canoe Clinic (For children ages 12 and up) Students will learn the basic strokes, including the j-stroke, and how to handle wind and other related obstacles. Canoes and PFDs are included. Bring a lunch, sunscreen, water, and hat.
Fee: $25.00 (members $ 22.00)
Thursday and Friday, August 11 and 12, 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.

Zombie Survival (For children grades 7 and up) Zombies have taken over and it is survival time. Come learn how to keep yourself alive using basic survival skills. Bring a lunch and water.
Fee: $12.00 ($10.00 members)
Wednesday, August 24, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Knee-high Naturalists (For children ages 2 - 4 years) We will explore the wonderful world of butterflies through songs, stories, crafts, and outdoor exploration, and there will also be time for snack. Fee: $7.00 (members $6.00)
Friday, August 26, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 am

Field School Jamboree Stop by to enjoy the company of Field School friends around a campfire as we roast marshmallows and tell stories new and old. This is open house style so drop in and stay for as long or short as you like.
