Seven Ponds Nature Center

A Nature Sanctuary and Environmental Education Center

The Rummage Sale and other Stingers Activities

The Stingers will be holding their annual Rummage Sale & Bake Sale again this summer. It will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, June 15 through 17. Times will be 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Select items will be priced, but most will be available for a donation. On Saturday, the Stingers will be offering special “per bag” pricing to help get items out the door.

Starting March 1, you may bring household items, clean clothing, books, toys, and other goodies. Please pack books and clothing in separate containers. All items should be in good condition and in working order. We will not accept large appliances, television sets, computer equipment, or building materials. It is a good idea to contact us ahead of time if you plan to bring out a large number of items. The last day for dropping off rummage sale items is June 11th. In addition, volunteers are needed to help set up the rummage sale and to help with sales on the above dates. If you would like to lend a hand, please contact the nature center.

The Stingers meet on the first Monday of each month, April through October. The meeting begins at 11:30 am with a brown bag lunch (coffee and tea are provided). This is followed by a business meeting at which they plan their bake sales, used book sales, rummage sale, Heritage Harvest Days activities, and more. The group raises significant funds for the nature center’s conservation and education activities, and has a lot of fun along the way. They are always looking for new members. Call Seven Ponds if you would like additional information.
